Cách sử dụng và phân biệt like, alike, similar to và the same

1. Like
Nghĩa: (giới từ) Giống (như), trái nghĩa: unlike.
Cấu trúc:
a.Be + like + N (danh từ)
Ví dụ:

This hat is like that hat.
Cái mũ này giống cái mũ kia.
b.N + like + N
I have a hat like yours.
Tôi có một cái nón giống cái của bạn
c.like + N, + mệnh đề
Like his father, he is a teacher.Giống như bố mình, anh ấy là một giáo viên.

2.ALIKE
Nghĩa: (giới từ/tính từ) Giống nhau

Cấu trúc: Luôn đứng một mình, ở sau hai danh từ (noun) hoặc danh từ số nhiều (plural noun)
Ví dụ:This hat and that one are alike
Cái mũ này và cái mũ kia giống nhau.
They tried to treat all their children alike
Họ cố gắng đối xử với tất cả những đứa trẻ như nhau.
Lưu ý: Không dùng Alike đứng trước một danh từ

3.SIMILAR TO
Nghĩa: (tính từ) tương tự
Cấu trúc: Không “to” nếu similar đứng một mình hoặc “similar + to + N/Pronoun”
Ví dụ:
Your hat is similar to mine. (mine = my hat)
Mũ của bạn tương tự mũ của tôi.
4.THE SAME
Nghĩa: giống nhau
Cấu trúc: The same as + N/The same +noun+as…/The same + N.
Ví dụ:
An’s salary is the same as mine = An gets the same salary as me
Lương của An bằng lương của tôi.
We go to the same school
Chúng tôi học cùng trường.

In addition to following be, like also follows certain verbs, primarily those dealing with the senses.
